LEGAL NOTICES 2026
NOTICE Pursuant to the provisions of P.L. 2025, c.72, all legal notices required by law for the Township of Jefferson will be published on the Township’s official website starting March 1, 2026. The complete text of each legal notice will be available free of charge at: https://www.jeffersontownship.net/717/Public-Notices with a direct link from the home page (https://jeffersontownship.net) and follow the link entitled “Public Notices”.
Notices will continue to be published in the Township’s designated newspapers accordingly and as required under the Open Public Meetings Act N.J.S.A. 10:4-6-21 until March 1, 2026 after which publication on the Township of Jefferson’s website will serve as the primary posting mechanism. This notice will continue to be published twice a month through December 31, 2026 and beginning March 1, 2026 the Township of Jefferson will transition fully to electronic publication of all future legal notices as authorized under the statute. The New Jersey Secretary of State shall establish and maintain a legal notices hyperlinks Internet webpage by March 1, 2026 and the link will be available on the “Public Notices” page, once provided by the state.
