Notice to Bidders
Sealed bids for the items listed below will be received at the Monroe County Legal Department, Monroe County Courthouse, 100 W. Kirkwood Avenue, Room 220, Bloomington, Indiana 47404, until 10:00 am E.S.T., on Thursday, February 5, 2026. Bids can be dropped off Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Bids will be opened and read aloud at 10:00 am by representatives of the Monroe County Highway Department at the Monroe County Commissioners meeting held at the Nat U. Hill Meeting Room in the Courthouse. Any bid received after this time will be returned unopened. Bids transmitted by facsimile machine or e-mail will not be accepted.

HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT
Curry Pike Phase 1, Milling, Partial Depth Patching, Resurfacing, Sidewalk and Curb Ramp Replacement, Curb and Gutter Replacement, Storm Pipe Repair and Replacement
Bidder shall provide costs to furnish all materials required for resurfacing, sidewalk replacement, curb ramp replacement and curb and gutter replacement including milling, paving and compaction equipment, labor, supervision and trucking. Roadway to be reconstructed is as follows:
Curry Pike Phase 1 – City Limits to SR 48 (Third Street), 1.04 miles
OTHER INFORMATION
Copies of the Instructions to Bidders, the Specifications, and all necessary bid forms may be obtained from the Monroe County Highway Department or the Monroe County Legal Department.
All Bids must be accompanied by (1) certified check, or (2) a bid bond payable to the Monroe County Treasurer, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. The certified checks and bonds of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned to them upon award of the contract to the successful bidder. All bids must include Contractor’s Bid for Public Work - Form 96.
The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid, or portion of the Bid, and to waive any irregularities in the bidding. All bids may be held for a period not to exceed 60 days, or as otherwise stated in the Contract Documents before awarding the contract.
All out-of-state corporations must have a certificate of authority to do business in the State. Application forms may be obtained by contacting the Secretary of State, State of Indiana, Statehouse, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204.
All bidders shall comply with Chapter 275 of the Monroe County Code, the Responsible Bidder Ordinance.
