NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Project: PRIVATE WATER SERVICE LINE CONTAINING LEAD REPLACEMENT PROGRAM
City of Green Bay, Wisconsin
The Green Bay Water Utility is establishing a program for the replacement of private water service lines containing lead that are located within the City of Green Bay.
As part of this process, we are creating a list of interested subcontractors from which our preapproved State-licensed Utility Contractors and Master Plumbers may contact for quotations. The following are the types of work subcontractors may be needed for:
* Asphalt patching/paving
* Concrete construction
* Directional drilling/boring
* Electrical
* Landscaping
* Plumbing
* Trucking
* Material Supply
This project includes the replacement of galvanized iron private water service lines that were previously connected to a utility-owned water service line made of lead and any newly-discovered private water service lines made of lead, including any necessary interior plumbing. Complete site restoration is also required. The private water service lines containing lead are primarily located outside of the right of way/on private property.
Each individual private water service line containing lead replacement will be quoted independent from the other private water service lines containing lead- they are not being quoted in groups or as a whole.
We encourage DBEs, including MBEs and WBEs, to contact the Green Bay Water Utility if they would like to be placed on our list of subcontractors interested in providing quotations. Anyone desiring project information may contact the Green Bay Water Utility at 920-448-3480.
