NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Staunton City Council will conduct the following Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026. The hearing will be held in Rita S. Wilson Council Chambers located on the first floor of City Hall, 116 W Beverley Street.
• Public Hearing and Consideration of a Request by Stuart Armstrong to Rezone 912 W Beverley Street, Parcel Identification Number 9168, from R-4, High Density Residential District, to B-5, Mixed Use Business District Conditional. The Applicant has Proffered to Remove all Business Uses and Only Allow the Same Uses that Are Permitted in R-4, High Density Residential District. The City of Staunton, Virginia, Comprehensive Plan 2018-2040, Land Use Development Guide, Future Land Use Map, Designates This Area as Neighborhood Residential.
The City of Staunton Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on this request at its January 15, 2026 meeting and has recommended approval.
