BIDS/Court Street Water Main Improvements
LEGAL NOTICE
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Town of Milford shall receive General Bids at the office of the Town of Milford Water Department, 66 Dilla Street, Milford, MA 01757, Attn: David Condrey, for the Construction of the Court Street Water Main Improvements in Milford, Massachusetts, until 2:00 PM prevailing time, February 19, 2026 at which time bids will be opened. Bids submitted after this time will not be accepted.
The Work of this Contract generally consists of the construction of approximately 620 linear feet of new 8-inch diameter ductile iron water main in Court Street from Main Street to Spring Street and associated valves, fittings, hydrants, and service connections. The existing water main shall be abandoned and left in place. All service connections are to be completed after the water main successfully passes pressure testing and chlorination procedures. All water main work shall be completed within 60 consecutive calendar days.
Contract Documents will be available, on or after 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, and may be electronically downloaded from the Tata & Howard, Inc. website at https://tataandhoward.com/projects-out-to-bid/.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount and in the form described in the Instructions to Bidders. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price will be required in the form described in the Instructions to Bidders.
The bidding and award of the Contract will be under the provisions of “Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 30, Section 39M (MGL C.30, S.39M).”
Minimum wage rates as determined by the Director of the Department of Labor Standards under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project.
If the bidder views/obtains the Contract Documents from a source other than those noted in this Advertisement for Bids, the accuracy and/or completeness of the Contract Documents cannot be guaranteed and the bidder assumes the responsibility for obtaining any additional information regarding the project, including addenda that may be required for bidding. Failure to acknowledge addenda issued during bidding may render a bid as non-responsive.
