Sealed bids will be received by the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Bucks (“Redevelopment Authority” or “Authority” or “Owner”) on Thursday, March 12, 2026 until 12:00 P.M., at its office at 216 Pond Street, Bristol, PA 19007, and will be opened publicly and read thereat on the Bid Opening Date at 2:00 P.M., for Phase 2 - Demolition and Disposal of Building Foundations and Appurtenances located at the Former Navy Housing Complex, Shenandoah Woods, Warminster Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania (the “Project Site”).
Bids are invited from qualified bidders. All bid documents and solicitation details may be obtained by contacting the Redevelopment Authority at 215-781-8711 during normal business hours.
Bids must be made on the forms furnished by the Redevelopment Authority and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid proposal, made payable to the Owner, with the understanding that the full penal amount of the bid bond or other bid security of the successful bidder will be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages in the case of failure of such bidder to enter into a contract for the execution of the work within ten (10) days after written notice to do so has been served upon him by the Owner.
Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days of the date of bid opening, except in accordance with the terms and provisions of PA Act 4 of 1974.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price with a Corporate Surety approved by the Owner.
This project is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act as amended and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. This project is subject to applicable requirements of the Township of Warminster’s Responsible Contractor Ordinance for work valued at over One hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($175,000.00).
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to award to such bidder who in the judgment of the Owner makes the lowest responsible and responsive bid.
The Project Site is secured and monitored 24/7. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ACCESS THE PROJECT SITE. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Project Site on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 1:30 P.M. until 3:30 P.M. Please contact the Redevelopment Authority at 215-781-8711 to schedule your attendance for the meeting. This will be the only opportunity for bidders to inspect the Project Site.
The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
