City of Fort Pierce Launches Community Needs Assessment Survey
2026 – 2030 U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
Community Development Block Grant
The City of Fort Pierce is developing its 2026-2030 Consolidated Plan to address community needs. This five-year plan outlines how HUD Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds will be used over the next five program years. The Consolidated Plan serves as a strategic blueprint for the city, identifying key priorities such as infrastructure improvements, public services, affordable housing, and economic and community development. It reflects the needs of Fort Pierce residents and is approved by the City Commission before being submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for review and funding approval. Community input is vital to this process, ensuring that federal resources are allocated effectively to enhance the quality of life in Fort Pierce.
Fort Pierce residents, small business owners, and public service providers are encouraged to participate in the Community Needs Assessment Survey, available online and in hard copy. The survey will be accessible in English, French, and Spanish on the City of Fort Pierce website from March 9, 2026, to April 8, 2026.
Citizens may request a copy via email or mail by calling 772-467-3161 or emailing grantsadministration@cityoffortpierce.com.
Survey responses will be automatically compiled and included in the 2026-2030 Consolidated Plan, helping shape community housing, economic development, infrastructure, public services, and public facilities projects for the next five years.
