AN ORDINANCE OFFICIAL NOTICE Published by Authority of the Common Council of the City of Appleton Office of the City Clerk, Appleton Notice is hereby given that the following Ordinances were adopted by the Common Council on February 18, 2026 and approved by the Mayor on the 18th day of February 2026. 07-26 AN ORDINANCE REVISING SECTION 2-3 OF THE CHARTER ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF APPLETON, RELATING TO BOUNDARIES AND WARDS BE REVISED TO READ. The Common Council of the City of Appleton does ordain as follows: Section 1: The City of Appleton shall be divided into sixty (60) wards as follows: (Descriptions are based on centerlines of streets, centerline of intersections of two streets, centerline of the Fox River and railroads and exact boundary of the City of Appleton Corporate Limit Line). THE SIXTIETH WARD Ward 60. The sixtieth ward shall include and contain all that portion of territory lying within the following confines: Beginning at the intersection of the Melody Lane and Ballard Road; thence West along Melody Lane to the Southerly extension of the East right-of-way line of Holiday Dive; thence North along said Southerly extension and said East right-of-way line to the Northwest corner of Lot 1 in Block 1 of Edgewood Subdivision; thence East along the North line of said Lot 1 and its Easterly extension to the Northeast corner of Lot 2 in Block 1 of Edgewood Subdivision; thence South along the East line of said Lot 2 to the North right-of-way line of Melody Lane; thence East along said North right-of-way line to the Ballard Road; thence South along Ballard Road to the Point of Beginning. Section 2: This is a charter ordinance and shall take effect sixty (60) days after its passage and publication, unless within such sixty (60) days a petition for a referendum is filed pursuant to Section 66.01 of the Wisconsin Statutes in which event this ordinance shall not become effective until approved by a majority of the electors voting thereof.
