NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF AMES, IOWA 2025/26 DOWNTOWN STREET PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (ALLEY - NORTH OF LINCOLN WAY BETWEEN KELLOGG AVE AND SHERMAN AVE) PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT The City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, will meet on March 10, 2026, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames, Iowa, at 6:00 p.m., at which time it will hear objections to the plans, specifications, form of contract, and cost estimate for 2025/26 Downtown Street Pavement Improvement Program (Alley - North of Lincoln Way Between Kellogg Ave and Sherman Ave). The general nature of the work is: 731.3 SY of Pavement Removal, 746.3 SY of 7" PCC Pavement, 370 LF of Footing Drain Collector PVC 6", 750 SY of Subgrade Preparation 12" Depth, 750 SY of Special Backfill 6" Depth and miscellaneous related work and appurtenances in accordance with the contract documents.
