Take notice that a pleading seeking relief against you has been filed in the above-entitled action. The nature of the relief being sought is as follows:
Foreclosure sale to satisfy unpaid property taxes owing to Cleveland County on your interest in the property described as follows:
Located approximately 4 miles Northeast of Shelby, North Carolina, lying on the South side of State Road No. 2052, being bounded on the East by remaining property of James Brown, on the South by property of Thomas L. Jefferies and John Lee McCluney, Jr., and on the West by property of R. D. Brown, and being described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING on an iron in the center of the right of way for State Road No. 2052, said iron being the Northeast corner of the property of R. D. Brown described by deed of record in Book 17-X at Page 414, and running thence with said right of way,
South 83-57 East 105 feet to an iron, the Northeast corner of Oscar Brown and the Northwest corner of James Brown, thence with the North line of James Brown, South 83-57 East 52.5 feet to a point in the center of said right of way, thence in a new line, South 6-03 West 220.01 feet to a point in the South line of the James Brown tract; thence with the South line of James Brown, North 84-08 West 52.5 feet to an iron, the Southwest corner of James Brown, and the Southeast corner of Oscar Brown, thence with the South line of Oscar Brown and the North lines of Thomas L. Jefferies and John Lee McCluney, Jr., North 84-08 West 118 feet to a point in the North line of John Lee McCluney, the Southeast corner of R. D. Brown; thence with Brown's East line, North 9-26 East 221 feet to the place of the BEGINNING.
The aforesaid tract is all of the property of Oscar Brown described in Book 14-M at Page 479 of the Cleveland County Registry, and is the Western portion of the property of James Brown described in Deed of record in Book 14-M at Page 477 of the
Cleveland County Registry.
Together with and subject to easements, restrictions, water rights and rights of way of record, and matters of survey.
Also being identified as REID# 25360, Cleveland County Tax Office. Address (Per tax office records and not warranted): 2606 Elizabeth Ave
Plaintiff seeks to extinguish any and all claims and interests that you may have in the property, to have a commissioner appointed to sell the Property and to deliver to the purchaser a deed to said real estate in fee simple, free and clear of all encumbrances, and that the interests and equities of redemption of the Defendants in the property be forever barred and foreclosed.
You are required to make defense to such pleading not later than April 6, 2026 and upon your failure to do so the party seeking service against you will apply to the court for the relief sought.
