OAK CREEK-FRANKLIN JOINT SCHOOL DISTRICT Board of Education Meeting - Minutes January 26, 2026 Meeting - 6:00 p.m. 1. The meeting was called to order by President Frank Carini at 6:00 p.m. 2. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. 3. Roll call was taken. School Board Members Present: Frank Carini, Mike Dudzik, Sheryl Cerniglia, Meredith Wittmann, Kelly Ganiere, School Board Members Not Present: Mark Verhalen Student School Board Members Present: Kara Meyer, Paige Stewart 4. School Board President Frank Carini reviewed the Board Meeting and Operating Norms. 5. Kelly Ganiere motioned and Sheryl Cerniglia seconded to approve the Monday January 26th Agenda. Motion passed 6-0. 6. The Board heard from one person during public comment. 7. Thank You's and Acknowledgements: The Board acknowledged those staff members from the personnel report who are retiring and whose combined years of service is 168 years. 8. Mike Dudzik motioned and Sheryl Cerniglia seconded to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. Motion passed 6-0. a. Mike Dudzik motioned and Sheryl Cerniglia seconded to approve the School Board New Policy Manual The Board heard a report on the Selling of District Office. b. Meredith Wittman motioned and Kelly Ganiere seconded to approve the change to Edustaff as our substitute teacher and support staff provider, effective June 15, 2026. c. Meredith Wittman motioned and Brianna Allen-Kaiser seconded to approve the open enrollment limits for the 2026-2027 school year. Kelly Ganiere motioned and Sheryl Cerniglia seconded to adopt the following special education program Open Enrollment space limitations for the 2026-27 school year: 0 (zero) seats. 11. Information Items: Meredith Wittman motioned and Mike Dudzik seconded to change the order of the agenda to start with the information item (b) summer school staffing rate increase. b. Human Resources Director Troy Hamblin shared information about the proposed summer school staffing rate increase. The Board may act on this at the February 9, 2026 meeting. c. Chief Business and Finance Officer Blaise Paul shared the Budget Planning Calendar for 2026-2027. a. The BOE Student Representatives shared a quarterly update. d. The Board reviewed the Upcoming School Board Meeting Tentative Agendas Report. 12. Sheryl Cerniglia motioned and Brianna Allen Kaiser seconded to convene in executive session per state statute 19.85(1)(c) to discuss evaluation of the Superintendent. Roll Call Vote: Wittmann: Yes, Ganiere: Yes, Dudzik: Yes, Cerniglia: Yes, Allen-Kaiser: Yes; Carini: Yes Motion passed 6-0. Meeting convened in closed session at 6:39 p.m. 13. Mike Dudzik motioned and Meredith Wittmann seconded to reconvene into open session. Roll Call Vote: Wittmann: Yes, Ganiere: Yes, Dudzik: Yes, Cerniglia: Yes, Allen-Kaiser: Yes; Carini: Yes Motion passed 6-0. Meeting reconvened in open session at 8:16 p.m. 14.
