Minutes of the Roland City Council Budget Meeting Wednesday, February 11, 2026 Note: The following are unofficial until they are approved by the City Council at the next council meeting. The Roland City Council met for a budget meeting on Wednesday February 11, 2026. The meeting was held at 6:00 pm at Roland City Hall with Mayor Bower presiding. Council Members Present: Jonathan Keply, Aaron Burres, Riley Larson. Council Member Absent: Cutris Kentner and Doug Sargent. Staff Present: City Clerk Mellisa Mattingly and City Manager Dalton Johnston. There were no visitors from the public. A motion was made by Burres and seconded by Larson to approve the consent agenda for this meeting which included Agenda for February 11, 2026. All in Favor. Motion Carried. Andrew Oetker went over Library expenses with Mayor and Council. Andrew Oetker went over what the Park Board would like to do for a project next fiscal year with Mayor and Council. Clerk Mattingly explained to Mayor and Council that as of right now, keeping next fiscal year's budget the way it is the city would be $189,606 over in the General Fund. After much discussion Council asked Clerk Mattingly to reach out to the departments that fall under the General Fund and have them resubmit their budgets at bare bones what they could function under and then Council would go from there at the next budget meeting on how much more they can give out. Mayor and Council Reports/Comments: None. Burres moved for the adjournment of the meeting at 6:52 pm seconded by Larson. All in Favor. Motion Carried. The next regular meeting will be Wednesday February 18, 2026, at 6:00 pm at Roland City Hall. The next budget meeting will be Wednesday February 25, 2026, at 6:00 pm at Roland City Hall.
