Thereafter, the School Board will meet on April 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the above referenced location to conduct a Public Hearing to consider adoption of the above-mentioned School Board Rule. Notice of Rule Development is contained herein. The effective date of the items mentioned above is April 15, 2026. A draft of the proposed Rules may be viewed during normal business hours in the Communications Center at the Lee County Public Education Center, 2855 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, Florida. The Superintendent has determined that there will be no adverse economic impact resulting from the proposed adoption set forth above. It is not expected that the proposed rules will require legislative ratification. Any person wishing to appeal any decision made by the School Board at a meeting or hearing will need a verbatim record of the proceedings. This record must include testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
