February 18, 2026 ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 11 OF THE BROWN COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES (PRIVATE SEWAGE SYSTEM) 26-026O - The ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 11 OF THE BROWN COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES (PRIVATE SEWAGE SYSTEM) amends the previous Chapter 11 Ordinance which governs the design, installation, operation, inspection and management of Brown County private sewage systems. The Amended Ordinance, in general, now refers to a private sewage system by its statutory designation as a Private On-Site Wastewater Treatment System, or 'POWTS,' updates statutory and administrative code references, and updates definitions and timeframes.
