The project entails deploying a Wrong-Way Detection System (WWDS) at interchange ramps to alert the wrong way driver, new and refurbished Dynamic Messaging System (DMS) signs near proposed WWDS fitted ramps to alert Route I-80 mainline drivers of a wrong-way driver, and Camera Surveillance System (CSS) cameras mounted at existing and proposed DMS sign locations to monitor roadway conditions. Regulated activities in wetlands and wetland transition areas include excavation, installation of structures and impacts to vegetation necessary for the installation of the WWDS and related improvements.
