PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULED ON DRAFT 2025 URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN AND DRAFT 2025 WATER SHORTAGE CONTINGENCY PLAN
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan) will hold a public hearing on Monday, April 13, 2026 to receive comments on its draft 2025 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) and its draft 2025 Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP).
The hearing will be held during Metropolitan's One Water and Adaptation Committee meeting. The meeting is at:

The UWMP demonstrates Metropolitan's long-term water supply reliability in normal, single-dry, and multiple dry water years and is updated every five years in compliance with state law. The WSCP details Metropolitan's plans to respond to actual water shortage conditions in compliance with state law.
The draft UWMP and WSCP are available on Metropolitan's website, https://www.mwdh2o.com/how-we-plan. Public input is encouraged and will be considered before finalizing the UWMP and WSCP. Metropolitan will also accept written comments received by April 13, 2026.
