PUBLIC NOTICE Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program Waitlist Closure The Sheboygan Housing Authority hereby announces that the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program waitlist is CLOSED effective February 23, 2026. Due to the high volume of applications currently on file and limited funding through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the Housing Authority will not accept new applications for the Housing Choice Voucher program at this time. Applicants who have previously applied and are currently on the waitlist will remain on the list and will be contacted in writing when their name reaches the top of the list. A public notice will be issued when the waitlist reopens.
