Ordinance No. 2026 – 1: An Ordinance Repealing and Recreating Section 7.06 Of the Town of Sheboygan Sanitary District No. 2 Sewer Use and Sewer Service Charge Ordinance WHEREAS, the Town of Sheboygan Sanitary District No. 2 (Sewer) is a party to a 1975 Joint Sewerage Treatment Agreement for the Sheboygan region, which provides the rules, regulations and charging system for wastewater treatment services that the District receives from the City of Sheboygan Wastewater Treatment Plant; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said Agreement, the City of Sheboygan annually reviews and establishes wastewater treatment charges, which it will bill the District for wastewater treatment services; and WHEREAS, the annual City wastewater treatment charges effective for 2026 have increased, and therefore, it is necessary for the District to amend its sewer services charges that it bills either City users directly, or that it bills indirectly to the City of Sheboygan for City customers billed directly by the City of Sheboygan to incorporate the 2026 City wastewater treatment charges. NOW, THEREFORE, the Commissioners of the Town of Sheboygan Sanitary District No. 2 (Sewer) do hereby ordain as follows: Section 1. Repealing and Recreating Code. Section 7.06 of the Town of Sheboygan Sanitary District No. 2 Sewer Use and Sewer Service Charge Ordinance is hereby repealed and recreated to read as follows: "7.06 CATEGORY E SEWER SERVICE CHARGE. The sewer service charge for Category E sewer users is as follows: Fixed Charge of $62.50 per quarter. Volume Charge is $36.57 per quarter. Total Cost per Quarter $99.07/UCE/Quarter" Section 2. Effective Date. The herein Ordinance and wastewater treatment charges shall take effect January 1, 2026. Enacted this 16th day of February, 2026.
