NOTICE OF REFERENDUM Notice is hereby given that at an election to be held in the Rosholt School District, on April 7, 2026, the following proposed Resolution of the School Board altering the School District budget to exceed statutory revenue limits will be submitted to a vote of the people: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of the Rosholt School District that it shall add a sum of $1.6 million in 2026-27; $1.8 million in 2027-28; $2.2 million in 2028-29; and $2.2 million in 2029-30 in excess of the revenue limits set forth in Wis. Stat. § 121.91 for the purpose of sustaining facilities, equipment, staffing, and programming. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that for this purpose the School Board shall add a non-recurring sum for the 2026-27 school year a sum of $1.6 million; $1.8 million in 2027-28; $2.2 million in 2028-29; and $2.2 million in 2029-30, which shall result in total revenue in an amount over and above the statutory revenue cap for each school year, as calculated in accord with the formula under Wis. Stat. § 121.91(2m). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the amount amount of excess revenue designated hereinabove, subject to approval of the electors, shall be added to the 2026-27 school year and continue through the 2027-28, 2028-29, and 2029-30, school year budgets for purposes of calculating the School District revenue limit. The question will appear on the ballot as follows: Shall the Rosholt School District be allowed to exceed the revenue limit specified in § 121.91, Wis. Stats., by up to$1.6 million in 2026-27; $1.8 million in 2027-28; $2.2 million in 2028-29; and $2.2 million in 2029-30 in excess of the revenue limits set forth in Wis. Stat. § 121.91 for the purpose of sustaining facilities, equipment, staffing, and programming? If you vote "yes", you are in favor of the Rosholt School District exceeding the revenue limit imposed on school districts under § 121.91(2m)(e), Wis. Stats., by an amount up to $1.6 million in 2026-27; $1.8 million in 2027-28; $2.2 million in 2028-29; and $2.2 million in 2029-30 on a nonrecurring basis for the purpose of sustaining facilities, equipment, staffing, and programming?
