ORDINANCE #26-02 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER EIGHT OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF WAUPUN ENTITLED "ORDERLY CONDUCT" THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WAUPUN ORDAINS: SECTION 1: Chapter 8.10 of the Municipal Code of the City of Waupun entitled "FAIR AND OPEN HOUSING" is repealed and recreated to read as follows: 8.10 FAIR AND OPEN HOUSING. (1) The City hereby adopts by reference §106.50 Wis. Stats., as amended, and all subsequent amendments thereto. (2) The officials and employees of the City shall assist in the orderly prevention and removal of all discrimination in housing within the City by implementing the authority and enforcement procedures set forth in §106.50, Wis. Stats, as amended. (3) The City Clerk shall maintain forms for complaints to be filed under §106.50, Wis. Stats., and shall assist any person alleging a violation thereof in the City to file a complaint thereunder with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Equal Rights Division, for enforcement of §106.50, Wis. Stats, as amended. SECTION 2: All ordinances or portions of ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are repealed. SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect on its passage and publication as provided by law. Adopted this 24th day of February 2026. ___________________________ Daniel J.
