NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Mississippi Environmental Quality Permit Board will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, at 9:00 a.m. on March 10, 2026 in the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, 515 Amite Street, Jackson, Mississippi 39201.
Consideration will be given to the following surface mining bond release application(s):
Boydstun Lumber Company, Inc., A751A, Permit No. P94-027A, Winston County, Mississippi
The applicant seeks the release of 90% of the performance bond posted to cover the reclamation of 39 acres of surface mined land located in Section 34, Township 15N, Range 13E, Winston County, Mississippi.
Hammett Gravel Company, Inc., A1400, Permit
No. P02-030AAA, Yazoo County, Mississippi
The applicant seeks the release of 30% of the performance bond posted to cover the reclamation of 53.6 acres of surface mined land located in Section 12, Township 10N, Range 2W, Yazoo County, Mississippi.
Hammett Gravel Company, Inc., A1854, Permit
No. P13-006ATA, Warren County, Mississippi
The applicant seeks the release of 90% of the performance bond posted to cover the reclamation of 95 acres of surface mined land located in Section 8, Township 7N, Range 4W, Warren County, Mississippi.

No. P99-059AA, Tippah County, Mississippi
The applicant seeks the release of 22% of the performance bond posted to cover the reclamation of 397 acres of surface mined land located in Section 2, 3, 10 and 11, Township 4S, Range 3E, Tippah County, Mississippi.
W. H. Roark Farms, LLC, A1168, Permit
No. P98-052TAT, Benton County, Mississippi
The applicant seeks the release of 90% of the performance bond posted to cover the reclamation of 42 acres of surface mined land located in Section 6, Township 3S, Range 1W, Benton County, Mississippi.
All comments must be received by the Office of Geology no later than March 17, 2026, in order to forward a copy of the comments to the operator and to incorporate the comments into the hearing records as required by law.
