NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS CITY OF PRATTVILLE MCQUEEN SMITH ROAD AND JAY STREET INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS PRATTVILLE, AUTAUGA COUNTY, ALABAMA BID NO. 026-002 Sealed bids for McQueen Smith Road and Jay Street Intersection Improvements - Bid No.: 026-002 will be received by the City of Prattville in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 101 W. Main Street, Prattville, AL 36067, until 10:00 am, Thursday, April 9, 2026, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud at said location. The bracket estimate on this project is from $185,000.00 to $215,000.00. This bracket range is shown only to provide general financial information to contractors and bonding companies concerning the project's complexity and size. This bracket should not be used in preparing a bid, nor will this bracket have any bearing on the decision to award the contract. The principal items of work are approximate as follows: 450 Tons of Bituminous Concrete Paving, 328 Linear Feet of Storm Drain Pipe, and related items. The entire project shall be completed in 45 calendar days. To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on complete original proposals made available by the Engineer. Purchase of documents, download, or hard copy, is required to be added to the official plan holders list. Bid documents are on file at Civil Southeast, LLC, 9086 Merritt Lane, Suite F, Daphne, AL 36526. No bid documents will be distributed later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Prattville, Alabama, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, must accompany each of the bidder's separate sealed proposal. Check or bid bond shall be provided as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within fourteen (14) days after notice of award of Contract to them. The successful bidder will be required to submit a 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond. Performance and Payment Bonds shall be from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Alabama to act as surety. Contractors are required to apply for all permits (City of Prattville local permit fees will be waived). Each bidder must be licensed as a Contractor in the State of Alabama in accordance with provisions of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended, and must submit with this bid satisfactory evidence of such license.
