REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS The Vermilion Parish Police Jury is interested in procuring the services of a Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality Accredited Asbestos Inspector to inspect the Vermilion Fair & Festival & Festival building in Kaplan for possible asbestos containing materials, provide a report on the building, and potentially assist with the inspection of the removal of asbestos containing materials by a third-party Contractor. The Police Jury has received a Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery - Resilient Communities Infrastructure Program grant for the renovation of the building. The procedures for the selection of this firm will be in accordance with the federal procurement requirements. All responses received will be evaluated in accordance with the selection criteria and corresponding point system that is identified in the Request for Proposals for an Accredited Asbestos Inspector for the Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery - Resilient Communities Infrastructure Program – VER Kaplan Community Center Project. The package also provides a detailed scope of services to be performed by the selected firm. The Police Jury will award a contract to the respondent obtaining the highest score in the evaluation process.
