ANNOUNCEMENT OF INTENT
TO CONTRACT FOR SUCCESSOR ARCHITECTURAL
DESIGN & ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES FOR
NEW LABELLE HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT
Hendry County School District is accepting requests for qualifications from Architectural firms under the provisions of Section 287.055, Florida Statutes, relating to the New LaBelle High School Project to be developed and constructed at 850 Helms Rd, LaBelle Fl, 33935 (“Facility Site”). The services sought consist of all Architectural, interior design, civil engineering, structural engineering, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering services needed for the design and contract administration of the proposed project. Firms qualified to submit for the project shall consist of architectural firms licensed to engage in the practice of architecture under the provisions of Section 481.219, Florida Statutes. All supporting design consultants will contract with and work under the direction of the architect and must be licensed appropriately.
Qualified architects are invited to notify Hendry County School District of their interest in the project. A Request for Qualifications and Statement of Qualifications and Performance Data Form (“Request for Qualifications Form”) can be obtained from Hendry County School District by calling Tony Busin, Director of Operations, Hendry County Schools at (863) 675-4642 or by emailing busina@hendry.schools.net.
All interested architectural firms must complete the Request for Qualifications Form and return the same to Hendry County School District, Finance Department, ATTN: Jason Adams and Brandynn Arrieta, 111 Curry Street, LaBelle, Florida 33935, by 3:00 p.m. March 23rd, 2026 in order to be considered for the project. Any interested architectural firm not fully completing a Request for Qualifications Form will not be considered for the project. A formal evaluation of all Request for Qualification forms will be evaluated on March 24th, 2026 at 9:00am at the Hendry County School Board Room at 300 W. Cowboy Way LaBelle, FL 33935.
The Request for Qualifications Form will be utilized to prequalify, select and short list no fewer than three (3) architectural firms as the most qualified based on the following criteria: ability of personnel, ability to meet time and budget requirements, previous performance and references, recent experience in school projects, geographical location of the firm, project approach in adopting the existing design of the former architect of record, ability to respond to Hendry County School District in a timely manner, demonstrated approach to similar projects and current project workloads. Hendry County School District reserves the right to reject, in its sole discretion, any and all submittals.
