PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Proposed project activities include the removal of retired overhead transmission line infrastructure consisting of a steel monopole, wood poles and metal towers. Remedial activities (sampling and soil excavation) will also be conducted within the footprints of several of the steel towers. The project will require temporary disturbance within freshwater wetlands, wetland transition areas, riparian zones, and the flood hazard area of onsite waterways.
The complete permit application package can be reviewed at either the municipal clerk's office in the municipality in which the site subject to the application is located, or by appointment at the Department's Trenton Office. The Department of Environmental Protection welcomes comments and any information that you may provide concerning the proposed development and site.
