LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING WITH INTENTION TO DEMOLISH HOUSE, GARAGE & SHED, VACATE & SEAL, CONTINUOUS ENFORCEMENT, AND IMPOSE A $5,000.00 CIVIL PENALTY
TO: FLAIM STEVEN L MISC, and to all persons or corporations having or claiming any rights, titles or interest in the following real estate commonly known as 2311 HIGHLAND AVE, SOUTH BEND, IN 46613, described as Key Parcel #71-08-15-456-008.000-026 and State Parcel #018-8098-3753.
You are hereby ordered to be present at a hearing before the Hearing Officer for Neighborhood Code Services, on March 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., in Room 301 - City Hall 215 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., South Bend, Indiana.
At this hearing, the Hearing Officer may affirm the order to DEMOLISH the HOUSE, GARAGE, AND SHED be completed by MARCH 12, 2026. If the repairs are not completed by that date, the Hearing Officer may impose a Civil Penalty, for an amount up to $5,000.00, against the property owners for failing to comply with the hearing order.
This is a continuous enforcement order as defined by I.C. 36-7-9 and therefore is in full force and effect without the need to seek additional compliance, abatement or orders for the same or similar violations. Ongoing compliance and enforcement activities are authorized if necessary, and fees and costs may be assessed and collected without the need for additional notice or hearing.
