LEGAL NOTICE   Notice of Advertising for Hunting Lease   Signed and sealed bids will be accepted for a 5-year lease of approximately 420 acres in Holmes County, Mississippi, known as the “Providence Farm property.” The 5-year lease period begins July 1, 2026 and ends June 30, 2031. The property is owned by the State of Mississippi and administered by the Department of Archives and History. The current lessee(s), if he/she has submitted a bid, shall have the option to retain the hunting lease by matching the highest bid. At the end of the five-year period, if the lessee(s) have abided by the terms of the lease, the lessee(s) will have the option of matching the high bid and retaining the lease.
