will be received and time stamped by the Owner, the Kenton County Board of Education, at the Central Office Reception Desk, 2044 Tuscanyview Drive, Covington, KY 41017 until Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM, Eastern
Standard Time. The Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud as soon as practical in the KCSD Board Room.
The work will be performed under ONE contract with the Owner.
Bidders may download Bidding Documents as prepared by Emboss DesignPSC at no cost from Lynn Imaging's online
planroom https://www.lynnimaging.com/distribution beginning at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Costs for paper copies are the responsibility of the individual bidder. Refunds will not be offered. A set of Bidding Documents is
comprised of one set of drawings and one project manual.
A pre-bid meeting will be held in the cafeteria at Kenton Elementary School on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at 1:30 PM.
Eastern Standard Time for interested parties. Please report to the Front Office Reception Desk where you will need
to sign-in and will be directed to the meeting location. All questions requiring additional information or clarification
shall be submitted to the Architect by Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
• Bid Security will be required in the amount and form defined by the Instructions to Bidders and Amendment
to the Instructions to Bidders.
• Any proposed equal for a standard shall be submitted to the Architect no later than ten (10) days prior to the
bid opening. The proposed equal shall be considered rejected if no Addendum is issued accepting the
proposed equal.
• No fewer than three apparent low bidders shall submit information per DOCUMENT 001153
QUALIFICATION OF BID PROPOSAL which shall include the application of any reciprocal preference for
resident bidders as prescribed by 200 KAR 5:400 in determining the successful bidder.
• The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment
Bond in an amount not less than 100% of the Contract Sum.
• Liquidated damages will be assessed for failure to complete the Work within the time specified noted in the
Project Manual.
• The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid and to reject any and/all bids.
• No Bidder may modify, withdraw, or cancel his Bid for sixty (60) days from the actual time and date
designated for the receipt of Bids.
Bids, including the Form of Proposal, Non-collusion Affidavit, and Bid Security, should be submitted in an opaque sealed envelope with the outside clearly marked with the name of the Project and the name of the Bidder and should
be addressed to:
