Public Notice Requirements
Applicants must publish a notice in a newspaper of general circulation on two separate days, placed in newspaper in the proposed service area. As per the FTA there must be an opportunity for public review and comment for all FTA funded capital and operating requests (projects). To comply with this requirement all Section 5310 subrecipients requesting a capital project (vehicle and/or mobility management project) and/or operating project must do a public notice in a newspaper soliciting public comment. A public hearing is only required if the project affects significant economic, social or environmental interests.
PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that City of Plainfield- Plainfield Senior Citizens Service Center has made application to NJ TRANSIT for the Vehicle Project S5310-2025- to acquire a Medium Duty Cutaway Standard Floor Front lift, 2 Accessible Locations with Fold away, PA system and Extended Cutaway Low Floor 2 Accessible Locations with Fold away PA system to assist in providing transportation to senior citizens and/or people with disabilities in Plainfield, New Jersey.
This project will be partially funded with FTA 5310 funds under a grant submitted to the Federal S5310-2025 and Extended Cutaway Low Floor Transit Administration.
Any interested party who has a significant, social, economic or environmental interest is invited to provide comments within 30 days to:
