NOTICE OF MORTGAGE FORECLOSURE SALE
The debt collector is attempting to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.
Default has been made in the conditions of a mortgage made by MARVIN L. HAMMOND and NANCY J. HAMMOND, husband and wife, whose last known address is 14051 Gilbert Road, Waldron, MI 49288, to NATIONAL BANK OF MONTPELIER, dated November 24, 2007, and recorded in Liber 1335, Page 0030, Hillsdale County Records, on December 5, 2007, on which mortgage there is claimed to be due as of February 27, 2026, the sum of TWELVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FIFTEEN and 91/100s ($12,515.91) Dollars, with interest at SEVEN (7.00%) percent per annum. Said Mortgage was subsequently assigned to STATE BANK & TRUST COMPANY via Merger as evidenced by the Instrument recorded on February 27, 2023, in Liber 1844, Page 895, Hillsdale County Records.
Under the power of sale contained in said mortgage and the statute in such case made and provided, notice is hereby given that said mortgage will be foreclosed by a sale of the mortgage premises, or some part of them, at public venue at the Hillsdale County Courthouse, main lobby, 29 North Howell Street, Hillsdale, Michigan 49242, at 10:00 a.m. in the forenoon, on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
Said premises are commonly known as 14051 Gilbert Road, Waldron, MI 49288, and are situated in the Township of Amboy, Hillsdale County, Michigan, and are described as:
All that parcel of land in Amboy Township, Hillsdale County, State of Michigan, as more fully described in deed Liber 775, Page 205, ID# 30-18-001-100-004, being known and designated as commencing at the Northwest corner of Section 1, Town 9 South, Range 2 West; thence North 90° East 154 feet along the North line of the above said Section 1, thence South 0° 17’ West 180 feet, thence South 90° West 154 feet to the West line of the above said Section 1, thence North 0° 17’ East 180 feet to the point of beginning.
The Period of Redemption applicable to the Mortgage referred to in this Notice is Six (6) months from the date of sale, pursuant to MCL 600.3240, or other such applicable statute, unless determined abandoned in accordance with MCL 600.3241a, in which case the redemption period shall be 30 days from the date of such sale.
