LEGAL NOTICE
PUBLIC NOTICE TOWN OF DANVERS PLANNING BOARD
Per MGL, Ch. 40A, §5, the Planning Board will hold public hearings on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The hearings will be broadcast online and through Danvers Cable Access Television (DCAT). Online access information will be posted at https://www.danversma.gov/AgendaCenter. The initial hearings for all zoning articles will be held at the Toomey Room, Danvers Town Hall, 1 Sylvan Street, Danvers, Massachusetts.
The first public hearing is regarding updating the dimensions and the review process and making consistent language all related to Signage regulations contained in Section 37: Sign Bylaw of the Danvers Zoning Bylaw.
The second public hearing is a Citizen’s Petition submitted by Melissa Nardone which proposes to amend Table 1: Table of Allowable Uses of the Danvers Zoning Bylaw. The zoning amendment is proposing to amend the Kennel, Commercial Boarding/Training Use in Table 1 from a prohibited Use in the Residential I (R-1), Residential II (R-2), and Residential III (R-3) zoning districts to a Use allowed by Special Permit from the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) in Residential I (R-1), Residential II (R-2), and Residential III (R-3) zoning districts.
The third public hearing is a Citizen’s Petition submitted by Dana R. MacNamee, Manager of Bay State RE Holdings, LLC (Site Property Owner) which proposes a Zoning Map amendment. The Zoning Map amendment consists of rezoning 249 Andover Street (Map 047, Parcel 015A) from Residential III (R-3) to the Highway Corridor Zone (HCZ) zoning district.
The proposed amendment language and map changes for all three (3) hearings are available in draft form at the Town Clerk’s Office and the Land Use and Community Services Department, Danvers Town Hall, 1 Sylvan Street, Danvers, Massachusetts, during regular business hours and on the Town of Danvers Planning Board website at https://www.danversma.gov/233/Planning-Board.
