Hinds County Board of Supervisors Department of Public Works 900 E Main Street, Raymond, MS 39154 Invitation for Bids South Farr Road Bridge Replacement Notice to Contractors: Sealed bids will be received by the Chancery Clerk’s Office of Hinds County, MS at 316 S President St until 10:00 a.m. on the 1st day of April 2026, and shortly thereafter publicly opened for splicing of steel piling and encasement of 4 piling on one bent of Bridge SA-25-302 on South Farr Road over Bakers Creek located approximately ½ mile south of Old Highway 80 in Section 21, T6N, R3W, Hinds County, Mississippi. Proposals for these 6-month term bids may be picked up at the Hinds County Department of Public Works located at 900 E Main Street, Raymond, Mississippi 39154. PRINCIPLE ITEMS OF WORK: Principle items of work will include excavation around piling of bent 6, construction of coffer dam around bent 6 and de-watering of area around said bent, splicing of 10” by 42# steel piling (4 each) and concrete encasement around bent 6. BASIS OF AWARD: The award, if made, will be to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder on the basis of published quantities. The Board of Supervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
