PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE Water System Improvements Project for the Community of Talavera Wednesday, April 7, 2026, 6 PM Dona Ana County Government Center, 845 N Motel Boulevard, Las Cruces NM 88007 The Talavera Mutual Domestic Water Consumers Association (MDWCA) invites you to a public meeting for a proposed project to upgrade the Talavera community water system. An Environmental Information Document has been prepared to evaluate potential impacts and proposed mitigation measures of the project. Project Scope: Daniel B. Stephens & Associates, under contract to the New Mexico Finance Authority, is evaluating solutions for improving the water system for the community of Talavera, located approximately 4 miles east of the City of Las Cruces, NM. Alternatives for improving the water service are being evaluated as part of a Preliminary Engineering Report. The preferred alternative is to upgrade the Talavera water system infrastructure and connect to a nearby existing water system. Public Meeting Purpose: To give the public, neighbors, and stakeholders the opportunity to learn about the project, ask questions, and provide input.
