NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON POCONO CHRISTIAN SCHOOL APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE
TO INCREASE THE OCCUPANCY OF THE CHARTER SCHOOL
AT 135 BURSON STREET, EAST STROUDSBURG, PA
The East Stroudsburg Borough Council will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 7:30 PM, during the Regular Meeting of Borough Council, at the East Stroudsburg Borough Municipal Building, 24 Analomink Street, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, on the Conditional Use Application of Pocono Christian School, tenant, and Dein Properties, owner of the property located at 135 Burson Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301, Tax Parcel Identification Number 05730112876001, in the OM-1 Office Manufacturing Zoning District.
The Conditional Use Application seeks the following: Approval pursuant to Chapter 157 (Zoning), Section 157-97 (Conditional Uses) and the Table of Use Regulations for the OM-1 Zoning District, to increase the permitted occupancy of the existing charter school use located at 135 Burson Street from 50 persons to between 50 and 150 persons.
The property is located in the OM-1 Office Manufacturing Zoning District of the Borough of East Stroudsburg and is owned by Dein Properties, with Pocono Christian School as the tenant operating the charter school at the site.
The hearing is open to the public. All interested parties are welcome to attend and will have an opportunity to be heard. After the hearing, and during the continuance of the meeting, the Borough Council will, if in order, consider and vote upon the Application as well as conduct any other business which may come before the Borough Council at that time.
The Conditional Use Application may be examined without charge or obtained for a charge not greater than the actual cost of reproduction thereof at the East Stroudsburg Borough Municipal Building, 24 Analomink Street, East Stroudsburg, PA, during normal business hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday) and online on the Borough's website at www.eaststroudsburgboro.org. The Notice and Conditional Use Application is also available to view at the Monroe County Law Library.
