BID NOTICE   South Canaan Township Supervisors are accepting bids for 30,000 +/- gallons of liquid calcium chloride for dust palliative hauled and applied to various roads within the municipality; a minimum of 2,800 gallons to be applied upon request. Materials must meet Penn Dot specifications. Mark on the outside of the envelope “Liquid Calcium Proposal” Proposals must be on forms furnished by the municipality. Contact Carol Burkhardt at 570-937-9026 to obtain bid proposal forms. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the municipality. Mail or drop off the bids to South Canaan Township, 2238 Easton Turnpike, Waymart, PA 18472 prior to 1:00 p.m. March 31, 2026 (the day before opening of bids). The opening of the bids will be at approx. 5:35 p.m. on April 1, 2026, at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Board. Meeting will be held in the township municipal building on Route 296. Successful bidder must provide the municipality with IRS form W-9, certificate of insurance and payment and performance bonds in the amount of 50% of the contract within twenty (20 days) of the award.
