PETITION TO FORECLOSE RIHT OF REDEMPTION

TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, and to:
The Estate Lorraine V. Benoit and its unknown and unascertained devisees and heirs at law; and the Rhode Island Division of Taxation Estate Tax Section
Whereas, a petition has been presented to the Court by Town of Burrillville of 178 Broadway, Providence RI 02903 in the County of Providence and the State to foreclose all rights of redemption from the lien proceedings described in the petition in and concerning a certain parcel of land situate in the County of Providence and in the State, bounded and described in the petition as follows:
A certain parcel of land with any buildings and improvements thereon situated on the southerly side of said Chapel Street, in said Town of Burrillville, bounded and described as follows
A certain parcel of land with any buildings and improvements thereon situated on the southerly side of said Chapel Street, in said Town of Burrillville, bounded and
described as follows:
Beginning at a stake and, stones at the junction of said Chapel Street and said Emerson Road; thence S. 24° E, with the line of said Emerson Road four (4) rods and twenty-one (21) links to a stake and stones; thence N. 75° E. ten (10) rods to a stake and stones; thence N. 65° E. five (5) rods to a stake and stones; thence 38 1/3° I. ten (10) rods to a stake and stones; thence N. 64 1/2° E. three (3) rods and five (5) links to a stake; thence three (3) rods and twenty (20) links to the said southerly line of Chapel Street; thence westerly with the said southerly line of said Chapel Street to the first mentioned bound. Containing by measurement 143 square rods, more or less, EXCEPTING, however from the above described premises that tract of land heretofore conveyed by Frank G, Berube and Mary Berube, his wife, to the Town of Burrillville by deed Dated April 19, 1933 and recorded in the Registry of Deeds in said Town of Burrillville in Deed Book 38 at page 165.
Said premises are hereby conveyed SUBJECT TO that certain easement granted to the New England Telephone and Telegraph Company from Frank G. Berube dated May 29, 1924 and recorded in said Registry of Deeds in Deed Book 36 at page 595.
Further described as 0 Chapel Street, Burrillville, R.I. Assessor’s Plat 158 Assessor’s Lot 18
If you desire to make any objection or defense to the petition, you or your attorney must file a written appearance and an answer, under oath, setting forth clearly and specifically your objections or defense to each part of the petition, in the office of the Superior Court in
Providence on or before 20th day of April 2026 next, that you may then and there show cause, if any, why the prayer of the petition should not be granted.
Unless your appearance is filed by or for you, your default will be recorded, the said petition will be taken as confessed and you will be forever barred from contesting said petition or any decree entered thereon. And in addition to the usual service of this notice as required by law, it is ordered that the foregoing citation be published forthwith once each week for three successive weeks in the Providence Journal, a daily newspaper published in the County of Providence; to wit: March 16th, 23rd, and 30th 2026.
