South Dallas County Landfill March 13, 2026 The March meeting of the South Dallas County Landfill was called to order by Chair Shirley K. McAdon at 3:30 p.m. Also present: Mike Fountas and Michael Chadwick. Review and Approve the Minutes of the Previous Meeting: Motion by McAdon to approve the February 12, 2026, meeting minutes. Motion carried. Review and Approve Bills: Motion by McAdon to approve the bills. Motion carried. Review and Approve Financial Reports: Motion by McAdon to approve the financial reports. Motion carried. Receive Chair's Report: McAdon reported on the Landfill budget presentation to the City of Adel and the resolution of Real Estate and Asset Purchase Agreement approved and signed by the City on March 10 to move the transfer of Landfill operations forward. Receive Staff's Reports: Director: Equipment Status: Fountas reported that RMS replaced the segment bolts on the right-side final drive of the Dozer. All other services are up-to-date. Site Status: Fountas reported that HLW Engineering completed the Spring samples. Staff is working on litter control. Other: Fountas will attend HAZWOPR training March 18. The Adel HHW Event will be held on April 18. Collections: Chadwick is pursuing three customers with past due balances. Review and Approve Dozer Specs: Motion by McAdon to approve the Dozer specs as presented by Fountas. Motion carried. Fountas will distribute specs to bidders. Other business: None.
