NOTICE OF HEARING Board of Fire Commissioners of the Corning Joint Fire District. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Corning Joint Fire District will conduct a public hearing pursuant to Not-for-Profit Law § 404(f) on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026 commencing at 5:30 PM at East Corning Fire Station 11873 East Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830 to hear all persons interested in the question as to whether the Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners should approve or endorse the merger of the South Corning Area Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. and the East Corning Fire Department, Inc. into a special fire corporation to serve the Fire District. The name of the proposed merged fire corporation is the East Corning Fire Department, Inc. and the territory the proposed special fire corporation intends to protect is the entirety of the Corning Joint Fire District.
