NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids are being accepted for furnishing all plant, material, equipment, and labor, and to complete construction of the following projects:
PROJECT NO. 202122 75TH AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION GLENDALE AVENUE TO NORTHERN AVENUE. This project includes roadway milling and asphalt overlay, as well as upgrades to ADA-compliant curb ramps and traffic signal systems.
Bids must be received by the Engineering Department of the City of Glendale no later than 2:00 PM, APRIL 15, 2026. Any bid received after that time will not be considered and will be returned to the bidder. At that time, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Engineering Department Conference Room. Please note the physical address for the Engineering Department has changed and is now located at 5970 W Brown St., Ste. 200, Glendale 85302 (within the Glendale Adult Center). The bid opening will also be viewable to the public through Zoom Meeting ID: 815 0205 7746 Passcode: 664336.
A pre bid conference will be held on APRIL 8, 2026, at 9:00 AM, Zoom Meeting ID: 865 4399 3595, Passcode: 308358. Bidders, contractors, and other interested parties are invited to attend this conference which will be conducted by the Owner and Engineer to answer any questions. Attendance is NON mandatory A copy of the recording will be posted online.
Plans, specifications and contract documents are available to download on the City’s Vendor Self Service (VSS) web page under Bid Number 42600044. You must register as a vendor to access this bid. Each bid shall be in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents, and shall be set forth and submitted on the BID DOCUMENTS included with the project specifications book. The BID DOCUMENTS may be removed from the project specifications book and submitted independently of such book. Each bid shall be accompanied by a proposal guarantee, in the form of a certified or cashier's check or bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid, made payable to the order of the City of Glendale, Arizona, to ensure that the successful bidder will enter into the contract if awarded to him and submit the required Certificate of Insurance, Payment Bond and Performance Bond. All proposal guarantees, except those of the three lowest qualified bidders, will be returned immediately following the opening and checking of proposals. The proposal guarantees of the three lowest qualified bidders will be returned immediately after the contract documents have been executed by the successful bidder. The proposal guarantee shall be declared forfeited as liquidated damages if the successful bidder refuses to enter into said contract or submit the Certificate of Insurance, Payment Bond and Performance Bond after being requested to do so by the City of Glendale, Arizona.
The City of Glendale reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informality or irregularity in a bid. Bidders that have an open litigation with the city of Glendale will not be considered for additional work until litigation is resolved. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of fifty (50) days after opening and reading of the bids.
