CITY OF SHEBOYGAN REQUEST FOR BIDS MEAD PUBLIC LIBRARY Construction of (2) Small Interior Study Rooms and a Sensory Room. The City of Sheboygan is soliciting bids for limited interior improvements at Mead Public Library to make provisions for the Construction of (2) two-person study rooms and Sensory Room in existing interior space in the Library. In order to be considered, Bids, on forms included with the bid documents must be received no later than 1:00 PM in electronic format on Thursday April 16, 2026 Bidders are required to furnish bid security in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check in an amount of not less than Five Percent (5%) of the total base bid amount. The awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the project bid amount. Prevailing Wage Rates are not a requirement for this project. Interested Bidders must attend a Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference to be held on Wednesday April 8,2026 beginning at 9:00 AM in the Main Lobby of the Library. The project will include selective demolition, provision of all necessary construction materials, line and low voltage electrical work, floor coverings as well as painting and staining. A substantial completion of the project by May 27, 2026 is desired to coincide with Summer programming In order to be considered, Contractors must have on file a valid Bidders Proof of Responsibility a minimum of five days prior to the bid date with the City Engineering Department.
