Sealed bids for the construction of "2026 STREETS PROGRAM”, will be received by the City of Pataskala, at 621 West Broad Street, Suite 2B, Pataskala, Ohio, 43062, until 11:00 a.m. (local time), Thursday, April 9, 2026, at which time the Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work consists of various general roadway improvements including pavement planing and resurfacing, asphalt overlay, full-depth pavement repairs, driveway replacement, and shoulder improvements of various City streets and parking lots. The entire scope of work is detailed in the Bid Documents. The engineer’s estimate for the base bid is $1,229,083.00.
Copies of the Contract Documents are on file at ARC Document Solutions at 1159 Dublin Road, Suite 300, Columbus, Ohio 43215 (Phone 614-224-5149), where they are available for inspection by prospective bidders. Paper copies of the Contract Documents are available for a nonrefundable charge of $65.00 during business hours at the same address. Please make any check payable to ARC Columbus. Shipping fees are not included and shall be paid by recipient.
Bidders must be an approved and pre-qualified CONTRACTOR with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and have a current pre-qualification certificate in order to perform the Work.
Bidders who submit a Bid must be registered as a Plan Holder at the Issuing Office (ARC Document Solutions). Bids from Bidders who are not on the Plan Holders List may be returned as not being responsive.
Plan Holders are requested to provide an e-mail address to receive addenda and other information electronically. Plan Holders are requested to designate whether they are a prime contractor, subcontractor, or supplier if they want this information posted on the project Plan Holders List.
Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.
Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each Bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed within 90 days after the date when the contract times commence.
CONTRACTOR shall pay wages to each laborer and mechanic at a rate not less than the minimum wages specified in the current wage rate determination as published by the State of Ohio Department of Commerce.
The City of Pataskala, Ohio, reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive any informalities in the bidding; and to enter into a contract with the Bidder whom, in their opinion, offers the lowest responsive and responsible bid. All Bids shall remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the time set for receiving Bids.
