SOUTH MAIN STREET & CENTRE STREET LEGAL NOTICE  SECTION 00100 NOTICE TO BIDDERS TOWN OF RANDOLPH, MASSACHUSETTS SOUTH MAIN STREET & CENTRE STREET INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS   The Town of Randolph, Massachusetts, acting through its Department of Public Works, invites sealed bids for "Town of Randolph, South Main Street & Centre Street Intersection Improvements, in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by BETA GROUP, INC., Consulting Engineers, 315 Norwood Park South, Norwood, Massachusetts, 02062.   Bids will be received at the office of Town of Randolph Department of Public Works 41 South Main Street Randolph, MA 02368   until 1:00 PM local time on April 02, 2026, at which time and place, said Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.   The location, general characteristics, and principal details of the Work are indicated in a set of drawings, entitled "Town of Randolph, MA, South Main Street & Centre Street Intersection Improvements".   To bid on this project, Contractors must be prequalified in accordance with 720 CMR 5.00. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, “Highway-Construction”, for the project with an estimated value of $498,470.   The work in this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the construction of a new traffic signal and associated conduit, handholes, pullboxes, curbing, curb ramps, curb extensions, sidewalk, pavement striping and signage, temporary traffic controls and signing for construction operations and other various items to complete the improvements.   Bids shall be on a Unit Price basis.   Bid Security: Certified, treasurer's or cashier's check or bid bond in the sum of five (5) percent of the Total Bid is required.   All roadway and sidewalk work shall be completed before August 30, 2026. No excavation shall be permitted in existing roadway after August 30, 2026 unless permitted by the Town.
