BIDS WANTED
Sealed proposals will be received electronically by Dover Township until 2:00 PM prevailing time on Thursday, April 9, 2026, for the following:
MS-944:
LOCATION OF WORK -
Appaloosa Drive (T-871) from Cherry Orchard Road (T-827) to end of Cul-de-Sac. Cherry Orchard Road (T827) between Nursery Road (T-951) and Bull Road (SR-4001). Deer Run Road (T-878) from Cherry Orchard Road (T-827) to end of Cul-de-Sac.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK –
Appaloosa Drive (T-871): 9.5mm scratch/ leveling course, 2.5% cross slope. Geotextile/ paving fabric TenCate Mirafi MPV600 or equal. 9.5 wearing course 1.5” compacted thickness.
Cherry Orchard Road (T-827): 9.5mm scratch/ leveling course, 2.5% cross slope. Geotextile/ paving fabric TenCate Mirafi MPV600 or equal. 9.5 wearing course 1.5” compacted thickness.
Deer Run Road (T-878): 9.5mm scratch/ leveling course, 2.5% cross slope. Geotextile/ paving fabric TenCate Mirafi MPV600 or equal. 9.5 wearing course 1.5” compacted thickness.
1A- 1 L.S. Mobilization
1B- 1,040 tons 9.5mm scratch/ leveling course, 2.5% cross slope
1C- 17,283 S.Y. Geotextile/paving fabric. TenCate Mirafi MPV600 or equal
1D- 1,516 Ton of 9.5mm wearing course 1.5” compacted thickness, with 2.5% cross slope
1E- 1 L.S. Demobilization
ESCALATOR CLAUSE –
Resolution 2026-09 was adopted by the Board of Supervisors on February 23, 2026, as required by PennDOT Chapter 449.6. The February 2026 Price Index for PennDOT District 8 is $598.00.
Notice is hereby given to bidders that MS-944 is subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act.
A Bid Bond, by acceptable surety, or a certified check made payable to Dover Township in the amount of 10% of the maximum bid, must be deposited by each bidder with the bid. The successful bidder, when awarded a contract, shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds (with suitable surety) as specified in the Contract.
All proposals must be upon PennDOT forms. Plans and contract documents are available at no cost on PennBid. Dover Township Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to make an award which is in the best interest of the Township.
