The Gerlach General Improvement District Board of Trustees is accepting applications from Vendors for Potable Bulk Water Contracts/Service Agreements for the 2026 Burning Man Festival.
Contracts/Service Agreements will be for a minimum of 40,000 gallons at the cost of $0.14/gallon.
All applicants will be considered, but priority will be given to those applicants who commit to purchasing the largest volume of water. Vendors will be billed and be required to pay for the amount of Bulk Potable Water in their application. Vendors who have done business with the District for past events will not be given priority. Submitting an application does not guarantee the applicant will be issued a Contract/Service Agreement.
Assignment of hydrants is at the discretion of the Public Works Supervisor. Applicants who commit to purchasing the smallest volumes of water may have to share a hydrant.
Applicants must obtain a Vendor Permit from the Burning Man Organization to be eligible for a Contract/Service Agreement.
Applications must be signed and submitted, in a sealed envelope, to the Gerlach GID office, 410 Cottonwood Street, P.O. Box 209, Gerlach, Nevada 89412 by May 1, 2026. These will be opened at the Public Meeting to be held at 5PM June 4, 2026 at the Gerlach Community Center, 410 Cottonwood Street. Emailed applications will not be accepted.
For applications or questions, contact the Gerlach GID at gerlachgid@gmail.com or phone us at 775-557-2601.
