Legal Notice   Notice of Application for Hard Rock Mining Operating Permit for Havre Sand & Gravel, Inc.   Havre Sand & Gravel, Inc. (HSG) filed an application with the Montana Department of Environmental Quality for an operating permit (pending Operating Permit No. 00213) under the Metal Mine Reclamation Act. HSG would quarry riprap and construction aggregate at the Havre Sand and Gravel Rock Quarry (HSGRQ). The HSGRQ is located approximately 9.25 miles south of Havre in Section 23 and 26, Township 31 North, Range 16 East in Hill County.   HSG is applying for a Rock Products Operating Permit. HSG would have a proposed permit boundary of 27 acres with an anticipated disturbance of 3.32 acres. The HSGRQ would be mined for construction aggregate and riprap material for an estimated mine life of 10 years.
