LEGAL ADVERTISEMENT  NOTICE TO BIDDERS  Bids for the 2026 Preble County Guardrail Program may be delivered up to 11:00 a.m. on April 8, 2026 at the Office of the Preble County Commissioners, Preble County Courthouse-1st Floor, 101 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio 45320.  The outside of the envelope shall be marked:  SEALED BID – 2026 PREBLE COUNTY  GUARDRAIL PROGRAM  BIDS will be opened in the office of the Preble County Commissioners’ Office in the Preble County Courthouse at 11:00 A.M. (Ohio Time), April 8, 2026.  If the bid is sent by mail or delivery service, ensure that the outside of the envelope is marked clearly that a sealed bid is enclosed. Also, include in the sealed envelope one original and one copy of the bid.  This legal advertisement is also published on the Preble County Commission’s website, www.prebco.org. Once the page is displayed, click on the project name under “Bid Notices”.  The Preble County Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids; to waive any irregularities in bidding; and to enter into a contract(s) with the bidder or bidders who in their consideration offered the lowest and best bid.  SPECIFICATIONS for the 2026 Preble County Guardrail Program are available at the Preble County Engineers Office, 1000 Preble Drive, Eaton, Ohio 45320.  Bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the bid and all persons interested in therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity, and a complete listing of all subcontractors to be used.  COMPLETION DATE OF THIS PROJECT IS DECEMBER 4, 2026.  PROJECT MUST USE PREVAILING STATE WAGE RATES THAT ARE INCLUDED WITH BID PACKET.  Each bid must be accompanied by cashier’s check or certified check issued by a responsible bank or trust company and payable to the order of the Preble County Commissioners or by a bid bond acknowledged by the bidder, as principal, and by a surety company qualified to do business in the State of Ohio and satisfactory to the owner, as surety. The cashier’s check or certified check shall be in the sum of ten (10%) percent of the bid. The bid bond shall be in the sum of 100% of the bid, which includes the total of the base bid and any alternates, as per ORC requirements. Once the bid is awarded, the successful bidder agrees to furnish a performance bond for the total amount of the 2026 Preble County Guardrail Program.  AGREEMENT INCLUDED IN BID PACKET IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
