NOTICE OF BID
JACKSON AVE. AND MURDOCK ST.
PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS
Sealed bids for the project above will be received at the Winchendon Town Hall located at 109 Front St 4th Floor, Winchendon, Ma 01475 until 10:00 a.m., Thursday April 9, 2026 at which time they will be publicly opened and read. No late bids accepted.
Obtaining Bid Packages: Specifications, general instructions, and Bid Forms must be obtained at the Winchendon Town Hall 109 Front St, Winchendon, Ma 01475 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday or by emailing pwood@winchendon-ma.gov. Bidders are required to submit bids on the Bid Forms provided.
Interested parties may bid on one, all, or any combination of the work items listed. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes marked “BID ENCLOSED” as to appropriate bid category. Minimum wage rates are established for the project as set forth in the bid documents. A certified check made payable to the Town of Winchendon or a bid bond for 5% of total bid price must be submitted as bid security. A fifty-percent (50%) Payment Bond is required upon entering a contract with the Town. A Massachusetts Department of Transportation Prequalification for contractors with the class of work as “Highway-Sidewalk and Curbing” for the project with an estimated value of $217,081.74 will be required.
The Town Manager reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities in the bidding procedures, or to accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the Town of Winchendon.
