Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Safety Service Director, City of Cheviot, Hamilton County, 3814 Harrison Avenue, Cheviot, Ohio 45211, until 11:30 AM local time on THURSDAY, APRIL 16, 2026, for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the project known as
HARVEST HOME PARK ROAD
CDBG FUNDED PROJECT
OPINION OF PROBABLE CONSTRUCTION COST: $557,000
COMPLETION DATE: FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4, 2026
The bid specifications, drawings, plan holders list, addenda, and other bid information (but not the bid forms) may be viewed and/or downloaded for free via the internet at https://bids.verdantas.com. The bidder shall be responsible to check for Addenda and obtain same from the web site.
Bids must be in accordance with drawings and specifications and on forms available from Verdantas at a non-refundable cost of One Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($125.00) Dollars for hard copies and $45.00 for electronic files. Proposals must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the same and all persons interested therein. Each bidder is required to furnish with his proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.
When the total overall project exceeds $101,201 (“new” construction) all bidders must comply with the Prevailing Wage rates on Public Improvements in Hamilton County and the City of Cheviot, Ohio, as ascertained and determined by the Administrator of the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services (OBES) as provided in Section 4115.05 through 4115.034 of the Revised Code of the State of Ohio. It is anticipated that the Prevailing Wage Law will apply to this project.
This project includes federal funding. Contractors must comply with the Davis-Bacon Act in the payment of prevailing federal minimum wage; demonstrate a good faith effort to achieve 10% Minority Business Enterprise participation; and Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, which requires opportunities for training and employment be made to lower income residents and contract work awarded to business concerns owned by lower income residents.
The Council of the City of Cheviot, Ohio, reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
