LEGAL NOTICE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES BEFORE THE DIRECTOR In the matter of application number 74-239149.0000 for a Recovery Well (RW) permit, located within the East Salt River Valley Sub-basin of the Phoenix Active Management Area, the Director gives notice that Basha Bottling Co. LLC has filed the above-referenced permit application pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute (A.R.S.) § 45-834.01. The RW permit application proposes to recover water for use in a bottled water facility from seven wells within Sec. 23, Township (T) 2 South (S), Range (R) 7 East (E). The registration number, location, and proposed maximum recovery volume for the wells are as follows: well 55-209407 located in NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Sec. 7, T2S, R7E, Gila and Salt River Baseline and Meridian (GSRB&M), maximum recovery of 2419.50 acre-feet per annum (AFA), well 55-214521 located in SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Sec. 18, T2S, R8E, GSRB&M, maximum recovery of 1,451 AFA, well 55-226113 located in SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Sec. 34, T2S, R8E, GSRB&M, maximum recovery of 2,258 AFA, well 55-228256 located in SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of Sec. 27, T2S, R7E, GSRB&M, maximum recovery of 2,272 AFA, well 55-228258 located in SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Sec. 23, T2S, R7E, GSRB&M, maximum recovery of 1,556.67 AFA, well 55-229937 located in SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Sec. 12, T2S, R7E, GSRB&M, maximum recovery of 2,419 AFA, and well 55-231531 located in SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Sec. 27, T2S, R8E, GSRB&M, maximum recovery of 3,226 AFA. A copy of the RW permit application is available for review at the Department, or electronically, upon receipt of a public records request. A public records request can be submitted online here: https://app.azwater.gov/eforms/ Forms/Request/DWR_Request.aspx Objections to the issuance of this permit may be filed by persons who may be adversely affected by these proposed recovery wells and must be filed, in writing, with the Docket Supervisor of the Department of Water Resources, Legal Division, 1110 West Washington Street, Suite 310, Phoenix, Arizona 85007, within fifteen (15) days after the last day of publication of this notice. For this application, the final date on which an objection may be filed is April 17, 2026. Objections are limited to whether the application for the RW permit meets the criteria of A.R.S. § 45-834.01(B). An objection shall state the name and mailing address of the objector, be signed by the objector, their agent, or attorney, and must clearly set forth reasons why the permit should not be issued.
