The new Station will include the installation of one (1) new 1-story 230kV gas insulated switchgear (GIS) building and one (1) new 1-story 69kV GIS building. It also includes installation of one (1) new 230/69kV transformer, lightning masts, bus supports, additional electrical process equipment, seven (7) electric transmission structures, and perimeter fencing. The Station will be unmanned; PSE&G technicians will visit the site every week or two to inspect and perform maintenance on the Switching Station equipment. Additional transmission equipment (steel transmission monopoles and wooden poles) is proposed on Block 641, Lot 5. An overhead wire crossing is proposed within an aerial easement on Block 1200.02, Lot 20. This equipment forms the physical connections between the transmission lines and the new Station.
